The Privacy Act 1988, as amended by the Privacy Amendment (Enhancing Privacy Protection) Act 2012, sets out 13 Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) which can be found on the website of the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
2. Collection and Use of Information
e-GoodManners provides software solutions to businesses (“Business”) who, in turn, collect the personal information you volunteer through the e-GoodManners software. The collection of this information is necessary to enable each Business to comply with the law, to contact you and to provide their products and services. When you use, directly or indirectly, an e-GoodManners product or service, e-GoodManners will share your information with the relevant Business and they will store and use your personal information within their own organisation and with its related entities.
e-GoodManners may also collect, store and use your personal information to improve its product or to comply with law, subject to the APPs.

By providing your personal information to a Business directly or via the e-GoodManners software you acknowledge, agree and consent to the use of your personal information in the manner set out in this Privacy Policy.
By providing your personal information, you warrant that you are authorised to provide such information and that the information is, to the best of your knowledge, current and accurate and that the provision of such information is not in breach of any law of the jurisdiction in which you reside.
3. Location Data
In addition to personal data which may be collected, “location data” (being information collected from any electronic device that identifies your geographical location) may be collected and may include data showing when the electronic device was in that location.
Your location data will be used for the same purposes as personal information as set out in clause 2 above. Location data may also be used in assisting with the identification, location and use of assets such as vehicles and loan equipment and for compliance with law (including traffic infringement instances and identity of vehicle drivers).
4. Security
Once any personal information comes into our possession, e-GoodManners will take reasonable steps to protect that information from unauthorised access, loss, misuse, modification or disclosure. Where your personal information is provided to us electronically (including over the internet) e-GoodManners cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information you transmit and you do so at your own risk.
Any personal information which is collected, stored or used by a Business, is subject to the APPs. If you have a query about such collection, storage or use of personal information by a Business, or you wish to exercise any right pursuant to the APPs, you must contact the relevant Business directly.
5. Cross-Border Disclosure
We may disclose your personal information to an overseas recipient. We have a reasonable basis to hold the view such overseas recipient is subject to laws or a binding scheme that has the effect of protecting your information in a way that, overall, is at least substantially similar to the way in which the APPs apply to protect your information and that there are mechanisms you can access to enforce rights.
6. Direct Marketing and Related Applications
Further to the purposes set out in clause 2, we, or the relevant Business, may use your personal information to directly market products and services to you, being product or services associated or related to the circumstances in which you provided your personal information.
We, or the relevant Business, may also use your personal information in conjunction with related software or data applications for the purpose of providing related information, products and services to you.
